The Manorial Documents Register

The Manorial Documents Register (MDR) at the Royal Commission on Historic Manuscripts at Quality House, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1HP does not have a register of the location of records, it is not in itself a repository.

The MDR does not include references to surviving manors in Helmdon.  However it notes the following information concerning records for the manor of Helmdon.

Helmdon Manor

1.Court rolls 1415, 1485-59, 1503-04 (ref.SC 2/194/39, DL 30/105/1494-5, rentals 1537-38, temp Henry VIII (ref: SC 12/3/28, SC 12/13/49) in the public Record Office, Kew.

2. Court roll and file 1716(ref.1962/98) in Northamptonshire Record Office.
