Assertion about Joseph Pullen's Will
Memorandum that Joseph Pullen late of Helmdon in the county
of Northampton maultster being of good and perfect memory and understanding,
did the eight and twentyeth day of February in the yeare of our
Lord one thousande six hundred seventy and two in the presence of
us whose names are hereunder written make and declare his last will
to be as followeth
Imprimis he did give and bequeath unto his mother Amey Pullen
all his goods and chattells that were propperly his owne except
one quarter of mault which he did then bequeath to the young men
of the towne; he did allso give unto his mother the two acres of
lande durring her life.
Item: He did give and bequeath unto his brother Benjamin(?)
Pullen his halfe yard lande with the appurtenances he paying his
sister Mary Pullen twenty pounds of lawfull English money at the
time he was enjoyned to pay it by his fathers will and he did allso
give unto his said sister Mary Pullen ten pounds of lawfull English
money, besides the twenty pounds of the said thirty pounds to be
payd out of the halfe yardlande
Item: he did make and ordayne his mother Amey Pullen to
be sole executrix of the same will and testament.
In witness wherof we have hereunto set our hands the eighth &
twenty day of Aprill in the yeare of our lord God: 1673: he did
also give and bequeath unto his mother at the same time, his two
parts of the cottage durring her life
