   Pre-School A Step Closer

Helmdon Acorns Pre-School’s dream of a purpose-built building has come a step closer with the submission of a planning application.
Pre-school treasurer Liz Hart, who is managing the project, said: ‘The building has been designed to fit in with (the) rural aspect of the site – a simple rectangular building clad in shiplap wood with shutters giving the appearance of a stable block.
We are desperate for this new facility.'
The application has been submitted to South Northamptonshire Council.

The planning committee of Helmdon Parish Council will give an opinion on the proposal on March 11.
The project will cost £173,000, and a £150,000 capital grant has already been secured from Early Years at Northamptonshire County Council.
Fundraising donations and grants have so far raised £6,400, leaving the pre-school with a £16,600 target before the project can go ahead.
