A tailoring business with a big reputation exists in Helmdon and one-legged Harry Hawkins has worked there for 43 years.

Among his firm’s notable clients have been the late Prince Arthur of Connaught and also a Rumanian princess.  It also does much work for the Grafton Hunt.

The firm was formerly owned by Mr Charles Brown; today it is carried on by his daughter, Miss R Brown.

Harry’s favourite spare-time hobbies are gardening and shooting.
