Views of local residents in Helmdon are needed.

South Northants is working in partnership with Helmdon Parish Council to ask residents in Helmdon their views on affordable housing in their area.

The council will be sending out a Housing Needs Survey along with their copy of the Parish Council newsletter during October.

Portfolio holder for housing Cllr Mary Clarke said: “By carrying out a survey, the council can demonstrate that there is a need for affordable housing in a particular location.

“It also helps us to identify who want to live or work locally but may not be able to do so at present because of the lack of available and affordable housing.

“Even if you don’t have a need for housing yourself, you may know a member of your family or local people who want their own home within Helmdon, but can’t afford to do so.”
