Village Pre-school Children Enjoy Room With A View
Children from Helmdon Acorns Pre-school have started the new term in a bespoke new building.
The state-of-the-art building, at the end of Hintons Close, looks out on to fields and is next to the school field and play area.
Not only does it provide the children with a huge playroom but the entire building has also been planned with them in mind.
It has tiny toilets to help promote the move to independence, and even the kitchen has a low workbench so the children can help prepare snacks and learn about healthy eating.
Pre-school leader Sam Marshall said: ”We are just so delighted – it is better than we ever dreamed it would be. I particularly love the massive storeroom – we have everything to hand and the children will be able to choose from a much wider range of experiences each day”.
The pre-schoool will now be open from 9am to 3 pm five days a week.
