TICKETS SELLING FAST FOR DISTRICT DRAMA FESTIVAL
Tickets for the forthcoming South Northants Drama Festival are selling fast.
The festival, which is entering its third year, will see theatre groups Weston and Lois Weedon Drama Group, Helmdon Bridge Players and Eydon Players perform a variety of one-act plays for audiences.
The plays performed will be Diana Raffle’s The Canary Cage, by Weston and Weedon Lois Drama Group, Hollingsborough Children's School Nativity Play by the Helmdon Bridge Players, and an original play which will be written, directed and acted by the Eydon Players.
The Weston and Weedon Lois Drama Group was formed in 1998 and has performed pantomimes and murder and mystery evenings as well as traditional plays.
The Helmdon Bridge Players was founded in 1988 with a pantomime performance and have expanded into more ambitious productions since, which they perform each summer.
The Eydon Players were founded in 1990 and include members from age seven upwards.
The festival will take place at the village hall at Lois Weedon on September 13 and 14. Both performances will start at 7.30pm.
There will be a licenced bar available at both of the performances.
