At the annual Helmdon Parish Meeting held in the Reading Room, Helmdon, the chairman, Mr H Gulliver, in his report, referred to an eventful and busy year for the Parish Council.
There had been seven parish council meetings and three well attended public meetings during the year.
Mr Gulliver said that negotiations had been completed with Northampton Education Committee for the use of the School Field as a children’s playing field for the village.
The council had also purchased one and a quarter acres of ground.
Mr A.E Tugwood proposed a vote of thanks to the council for their work in acquiring the allotments.
A letter was sent from the meeting to Brackley Rural Council drawing their attention to the untidy demolition sites in the village.
