 Motorcyclists Back Charity

A clergyman from Whitfield joined a group of motorcyclists on a fundraising ride to mark the start of Christian Aid Week.

The 61-year-old rector of the Astwell benefice which includes the villages of Whitfield, Helmdon, Radstone, Syresham, Lois Weedon and Wappenham, joined around 160 motorcyclists for the sponsored ride to Cambridge on  May 9th.  The Rev Adams was among a local group that set off from the Links day centre in Brackley.

Riders enjoyed good weather on the day and raised around £500 for Christian Aid’s work in developing countries. Barclaycard has pledged to double the total raised.

The Rev Adams, a keen motorcyclist, rides a 750cc Aprilia Motorbike.
