CARD FIT FOR A QUEEN

The Queen had a special message for the first Helmdon Brownie Pack who spent two weeks making a giant card for her 60^th birthday.  One of her ladies-in-waiting wrote to the 13 Brownies, thanking them for their kind thoughts, saying “I am to tell you that your splendid card has given the Queen great pleasure.”  Little Owl, Mrs Joan Morris, of Cross Lane, Helmdon said: “The girls are chuffed.  They had worked so hard to make the card. They drew little figures and Brownie symbols, and they made a collage.  Now we are making plans to make a card for Sarah and Andrew’s wedding this coming summer.
